Vision and Mission of the Association

We will see a day by when Stone Mountain Association of Baptist Churches has healthy reproducing churches.

Mission: The mission of SMBAC is to strengthen and support our local churches in our association, by partnering together to ignite spiritual awakening by sharing the Gospel of Jesus Christ within our local communities and churches.

Every church has a distinct function to expand the Kingdom of God.

Churches must work in unity to support, encourage, and pray for each other.

Churches should develop disciples who are on mission with God.

A healthy church demonstrates the Biblical purposes of church: lifestyle worship, discipleship, evangelism, ministry, and fellowship, supported by prayer.

The basis of common faith and practice for the Association shall be the current Baptist Faith and Message Statement

Meet Our Team

Larry

Larry is married to Margaret, and they have two daughters Rachel and Dawn (Alan) Lorentz. They have five grandchildren, Caleb, Josiah, Daniel, Madison, and Isaiah, by their daughter Dawn and her husband Alan. Larry enjoys spending time with his wife of 50 years, gardening/landscaping, and hiking.

His favorite scripture is 1 Corinthians 1 3-4 Brothers and sisters, I could not address you as people who live by the Spirit but as people who are still worldly—mere infants in Christ.  I gave you milk, not solid food, for you were not yet ready for it. Indeed, you are still not ready. You are still worldly. For since there is jealousy and quarreling among you, are you not worldly? Are you not acting like mere humans? For when one says, “I follow Paul,” and another, “I follow Apollos,” are you not mere human beings?
