Disaster Relief Training
September 16  |  New Providence Baptist Church, Forsyth, GA


At this credentialing session you will receive an introduction to the overall ministry of Disaster Relief, three ministry areas (child care, cleanup & recovery, and feeding), and evangelism encouragement. Once you become a credentialed Disaster Relief volunteer, re-certification is required every 3 years.
Schedule: 7:30-9 am - Registration/Check-In (arrive no lager than 8:15 am); 9 am-12:30 pm - Training

Backpacks of Hope

The Backpacks for Appalachia project is changing to Backpacks of Hope and is expanding! Going forward, it will include the children and youth in Appalachia and the children and youth in the most poverty-stricken counties in Southwest Georgia. The goal for Backpacks of Hope for 2017 is a God-sized goal of 35,000 backpacks. All Georgia Baptist churches can help meet the physical and spiritual needs of these children and youth by participating in meeting this goal.

Loving Your Neighbor Conference

In 2015 more than 69,000 refugees legally entered the US. In addition, more than 542,000 immigrants received permanent resident status in 2015. In 2016, more than 3 million Muslims live in the United States. The US now hosts more than 40 million immigrants. In the midst of all, there is a command given by the King of Kinds, our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ . . . "Love your neighbor as yourself." But how?

Join the discussion September 30 at First Baptist Lithonia to hear from first generation immigrans serving as pastors and ministry leaders in the Stone Mountain Baptist Association. "Love Your Neighbor" will help your church develop strategies and answer questions related to reaching your neighbors effectively with the gospel of Jesus Christ.
