Establishing Mission Communities Within Our Churches

Jesus reminds us in scripture, “Then he said to his disciples, ‘The harvest is plentiful, but the laborers are few; therefore, pray earnestly to the Lord of the harvest to send out laborers into his harvest.’

‭‭Matthew‬ ‭9‬:‭37‬-‭38‬ ‭ESV‬‬

With an ever-growing opportunity to reach lost, hurting, and de-churched individuals within our surrounding communities, the church has a unique chance, like never before, to equip and mobilize qualified elders and mission leaders to reach their local communities and beyond. Our goal at the association is to help our churches develop strategies and train individuals on how to become more effective in sharing the gospel of Jesus Christ. Based on Acts 2:42–47, a mission community is a Spirit-empowered group of believers who live as an extended family, intentionally reorienting their lives around the mission of sharing the Gospel while tangibly demonstrating it to their community.

This is an excellent opportunity for churches to mobilize, prepare themselves, and train individuals on how to live on mission. If you would like more information or want to schedule a time for us to come and lead a training, please contact Dr. Richard Bumpers or Larry Cheek to set up a meeting.
